Two key components of our business are pick-up and delivery, and dock operations.
Dock operations start with cross docking the freight, getting trucks and trailers unloaded and reloaded. Dockworkers control the handling and movement of freight on the dock to ensure the receiving terminal and/or customer gets the right freight on time and in good condition. If driving is not an interest a Dockworker, Leadhand, or Foreman is an excellent position to start your career in transportation.
Dispatchers link the Drivers with customer freight pick-up and delivery through handheld technology, carefully balancing customer expectations and company efficiencies.
The Sales department is responsible for acquiring and soliciting new business while maintaining existing customer relationships. Through networking, referrals and cold calling, Account Managers provide superior professional service. The customer service representatives (CSR) ensure timely resolution and communication with internal/external customers regarding a variety of inquiries that include investigating shipments, problem solving, maintaining customer files, and data entry.
