Gardewine offers a variety of Company and Owner Operator driving positions within GENERAL FREIGHT (LTL), DEDICATED, DECK, BULK and MOVING divisions throughout the terminal network. Predominately a regional carrier you can expect to be home on a daily basis. Because of the driving options we can accommodate all licenses (Class 1, AZ, 5A/3A, DZ, and Class 5/G); additionally, we are able to accommodate entry level driving positions and assist in license upgrade training. Opportunities also exist for current company drivers to become owner operators.
Drivers make up 55% of our employee group and are an integral and critical part of the operation serving our customers.
The Accounting and Finance department is responsible for all financial management and financial controls across the organization, including accounting, financial reporting, payroll and treasury functions. As a federally regulated and publicly traded company we offer a fast-paced work environment, filled with personal growth opportunities.
Administration and Support Services provide assistance to employees and management in various areas of the business throughout the organization. Roles and responsibilities range from supporting executives and managers to facility and technical support. They keep the terminals fully operational, support projects, analyze operational information, and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies.
Our large Fleet Maintenance team supports and repairs over 1500 trucks and trailers, as well as other power equipment. They operate 24/7 providing options and flexibility their students, apprentice helpers, and Red Seal mechanics. Determined to build and grow the five shops located in Winnipeg, Flin Flon, and Thompson within Manitoba, and Sudbury and Thunder Bay in Ontario, we find solutions for candidates looking to make a career in Fleet Maintenance.
Interconnectivity exists between Human Resources, Safety and Driver Services. Human Resources manages all areas related to employment, including employee relations. The Driver Services team manages the compliance area related to drivers to ensure rules and regulations are met. The Safety team leads the safety program, including creating training modules, monitoring and tracking incidents, risk assessment and management, and other tasks related to compliance of the Safety Act.
Our team of Logistics professionals provide clients with seamless supply chain solutions which include multi-mode and transborder options. Members of the Gardewine Logistics team are process driven and demonstrate strong entrepreneurial and sales skills.

Two key components of our business are pick-up and delivery, and dock operations.
Dock operations start with cross docking the freight, getting trucks and trailers unloaded and reloaded. Dockworkers control the handling and movement of freight on the dock to ensure the receiving terminal and/or customer gets the right freight on time and in good condition. If driving is not an interest a Dockworker, Leadhand, or Foreman is an excellent position to start your career in transportation.
Dispatchers link the Drivers with customer freight pick-up and delivery through handheld technology, carefully balancing customer expectations and company efficiencies.
The Sales department is responsible for acquiring and soliciting new business while maintaining existing customer relationships. Through networking, referrals and cold calling, Account Managers provide superior professional service. The customer service representatives (CSR) ensure timely resolution and communication with internal/external customers regarding a variety of inquiries that include investigating shipments, problem solving, maintaining customer files, and data entry.
Gardewine operates warehousing facilities located in Winnipeg, Brandon, Morden, and Thompson, Manitoba, as well as North Bay and Toronto, Ontario. Through a small team of detail-oriented warehouse operators and skilled forklift operators, our clients freight is rotated, stored and handled with extreme care.
